I am thinking of getting a prog scan DVD player for my new plasma
Please excuse if this is a stupid question but the DVD player will need to connect via my Yamaha AX2 amp (PS2 also) which has component.
Does the amp have to take a prog scan signal as well, ie need to be progressive scan compatible or does the signal pass straight through???
If the answer is yes I'm b*ggered as cannot stretch to a new amp at the mo :(

Prog scan uses more bandwidth than interlaced but it should be fine dont have that amp or PS display
