Ive just installed a Sapphire Radeon 9500pro and the bundle came with PowerDVD XP4.0.

It installs OK, the diagnostic runs seemingly OK, but the bl**dy thing just wont play DVD's.

For some reason it'll let you know the disk title in the menu help popups, but hit the play button and....

Not a sausage!

Windows Media player works fine with DVDs/any disc I care to place in the drive, but powerdvd just sits there and does nothing:suicide:

Anyone else had this problem??

There's a MODE button somewhere on the Power DVD skin.

When it's in FILE mode, nothing happens. When it's in DVD mode- press PLAY and the DVD plays.

Had me stumped for a while, pressed every button and sussed it out.

Looked for a mode button but cant seem to find it. But I think the software isnt recognising my system. Everything else works fine, any more ideas?

Thanks Nathan, I tried to download the skin you suggested, but the zip file was corrupt, I'll try again later.

So I'll try the official site for some more skins

I still cant find any help files with regard to this problem though...

Nathan,

I tried the mode button on the skin you reccommended, no joy the program still just sits there like a dumb ****.

I can see that the disk has been recognised (ie the name of the disk appears on the player and the configuration menu) but absolutley nothing else happens.

Any more ideas
