Plastic, M&K - are you mad?;)
I'm sure given enough time I could dig up some all metal ones capable of doing justice to your Surround 55s, for about £25 a throw.
As a place to start, try CPC and look in Audio Video - Stands and Supports - Loudspeaker Stands

    relax shaolin kid.

What I was saying was that having spent a bloody fortune on M&Ks, sticking them on plastic stands would be a waste of money. CPC have some very good quality wall brackets, capable of up to 20Kg loads (4x what you need :D) at under a tenner for a pair. These should do the job nicely.
