I bought a put together 6x9 speaker box and do not like the way it sounds. I know, you get what you pay for. All laughing aside, can I put a port in it? and what would be the best way of doing it. I don't want to willie nillie drill holes in it and make it worse.

I searched the site with "porting" "add a port" ect.. and came up with nothing and the web was so confusing.

    Please help
    Gary

There are speaker design software aps which can be downloaded from the web which have modules where you can input the size of your cabinets and it will tell you how big a port to ad and I think where abouts. A bit vague I know, but it might help. I think one product is called winspeakerz or somethign like that. Do a search for Speaker design software and see what you get. Good luck :)

Aside from the dimensions can you be more specific about the speaker and why you are unhappy with the sound.
