The speakers in the Toshiba 46" DLP are very good, and the pseudo surround isn't bad either. The speakers are fine for general listening. They are a lot better than in an average TV.

Of course this set deserves a decent home cinema amp. I bought a Yamaha DTS, DD, ProLogic 11 amp for £150 off ebaY and using Kef main speakers and Jamo surrounds, the sound is phenomenal, which adds to the impact of the large screen size. This really is home cinema, and on a fairly modest budget.

I find the sound on the tosh fantastic, i personally wouldnt bother with an extra setup for normal tv viewing as the tosh has all i need but thats just my preference
