I have just bought a Toshiba 210E and would like to know the best way of connecting this to my TV.

I have a Panny 28PK3 which has two scarts at the back.

I was considering using an S-video on the DVD to Scart on the TV.

Will this provide the best picture?

New to DVD world and would welcome your help.

    Thanks in advance.

It's all a matter of taste I think. It's between the S-Video, or RGB through either component connections or (typically) the scart. My personal preference is to connect it by scart using RGB. Beautiful picture. Be assured that someone will say different though.

Component video would be first choice.

Scart to Scart carrying RGB would be second choice

Scart to scart carrying s-video would be third choice

S-video to scart would be be undesirable as there would be no auto-widescreen switching.

Don't think your TV has component so Scart-Scart (with RGB) would give the best pic.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I opted for the Scart-Scart (with RGB) and the picture was excellent on Toy Story (my daughter wanted to watch it) looking forward to watching my own DVD's.
