From previous experience I have found that connecting my Sky + box to my DVD recorder (by Scart) will produce a better Sky + picture on the TV compared to plugging the Sky + direct into the TV, due to the DVD/TV connection being via Component Video.
I now have a supplementary system with Digital TV but with only a DVD player rather than a DVD recorder. Does anybody know if I can adopt a similar methodology and route the Digital TV set-top box through the DVD player's single Scart to take advantage of the DVD player's component video connection to the TV? Or can I not do this - is the DVD player's Scart connection for output only - and hence do I have no choice other than to plug the Digital TV set-top box direct to the TV?
