    Hi all,

Well, finally I have taken the plunge and ordered a panny 95, due today.
Now I have to go and purchase dvd's and an extra scart lead to try it out.

I am hoping that Argos will get some more stock in of RAM discs, but
to try it I need to purchase some dvd-r's.
As I live close to Scan's offices in Horwich I have seen the following three
products on there wesite which seem to offer a good price. Two being
ritek dyes/grade A and Verbatim x8 media with Jewel case.

I would appreciate your opinion on whether any of them are a suitable
    product to use.

I've used Verbatim and Ritek G04/05 dye DVDs on my E85 with no problems, but I've always used the 4 speed ones. I believe the 8 speed ones are fine but the machines will only write at 4 speed.
    Edit
I've not used that particular brand though, and I've always tried to use the "A" rated ones when using non-branded.

Thank for the quick reply John,

With regards to the first item:

50pcs DVD-R Roll (Shrinkwraped) x4 Speed Orange Tango's , Certified Ritek Branded Dye.

How do I confirm which type of dye is used (G04/05/???).

I will probably get the verbatims today, this is future reference.

    Thanks. :hiya:

I tend to use SVP for my blank DVDs as you can click on the pics of the DVDs and it tells you all about them.
Here is a link to their DVD-R section

GO4/GO5 it doesn't make a difference which, both should be fine with your machine. As already advised, SVP are a great place to do business with and they show the dye used on all disks, they also sell a 10pk spindle of Ram disks for £14 and if you join their buyers club (which is free) they often run special deals such as 99p shipping.
