I've got an A350 too . Got it back in the days when there were only three players available and you had to chip them yourself. Cost me 599 ( I talked them down from 750!) Chip cost me an additional 100quid and I had to have it sent over from Netherlands and nervously waited outside whilst my electonics savvy mate "fitted" it . Had to open it up to fix a missing capacitor into the video board to clean up some ghosting on RGB. ( panasonic's advice) Since then its been great and I'm still more than happy with it ( in fact its probably the best bit of consumer wares I ever bought) However the pixellation problem is most likely the optical pick-up failing. My electronics mate had exactly the same problem and junked his as a result. Suspect you've got the same problem.
