what subwoofer should i pair with vienna waltz speakers?
A very good one?
AFAIK, Vienna Acoustics makes very good loudspeakers, so you should pair them with a capable sub. It does not make sense to reduce the quality of the sound under 70Hz, right?
Generally speaking, subs' "tonal balance" is basically inexisting, so you can match any sub with any pair of speakers independently of the make.
You should only consider the sub quality and the crossover point (70 Hz in your case, probably makes sense to adjust 80Hz in the settings, but you can play there).
Another important point may be the looks, and having Vienna loudspeakers, it is probably so for you. I have just discovered that BK makes custom veneers, which may be of advantage for you. SVS, another favourite for its price/performance ratio, has very nice veneers, but you are limited in your choice.
As an intro, I think this is good enough. The experts will jump in soon and go more in detail, probably.
