    Deff,
Forget the Bose. This is a mid-woofer.
Try and demo the other two if you can. They are both decent for the money. Alternatively, for 300 pounds, better subs (used) can be had on the classified section from time to time.

deff: The Vibe Alpha 1 is a very good little sub for the money, can go very loud when required. We had one in for demo from Vibe last week and I was very impressed.

    dts_boy: The ASW1000 is £500, the ASW500 is £350.

My listening room is small so I tried the Mjaccoustic pro50, while it gave a form of LFE for DVDs it was not very musical.

I settled on a REL Strata III after trying the Q150, Q200, Q400 and Storm III.

I would recommend you try the Rels

    regards

    Eddie:)

If you can aford REL then get one.

I have a Paradigm PR10. Great for the price £150 from Ritcher Sounds. And not too big. Tip - I wanted my sub not to be seen so I bought a cheap chipboard round table and cut 12" off the bootom of the legs. Then put this on top of the Sub with a table cloth over - hey prest a table and sub in one :)

There is a review here http://www.smr-home-theatre.org/Interface.html Go to Hardware Reviews - Paradigm

    Good luck

you could have a go at bulding your own sub or re-building a Yamaha one. The amps in the Yamaha subs are ok and cheap, but need a little work. Good fun.
