:lease: Guys I have a major issue with media storage.

I'm capturing footage from two cameras HDV-FX1E and a backupTRV 10E. The data is stored on a Maxtor 'One Touch' external hard drive.

I have now had the same problem twice. Whilst editing the source and timeline viewer in Pinnacle Edition have gone muticolour pixelated and the F; Drive (The Maxtor) becomes corrupt. It's not even accessible by windows explorer (message comes up to use chkdsk facility. It's been formated properly to start with and when it became corrupt I reformatted. In between it has stored data succesfully and I've produced DVD's.

BUT clearly I can't continue to lose media data half way through a project.

SO QUESTION: Is there any way that the original media data or edited data is the problem or is this simply a screwed up drive that needs to be sent back to the manufacturer?
