Question Help - not got a clue!

I have a Panasonic TV the TX-P50G10B.
It has 3 HDMI but I cannot see a HDMI ARC.

I have this linked up to my virgin box with HDMI and have just purchased a Denon Soundbar. Got it home spent hours sorting it all out but no sound.

The TV has a Digital Audio Out and 3 HDMI but no ARC.

The option on the Denon Sound Bar is using HDMI ARC or Digital In Optical.

How can I get this to work - spent a lot of cash and feeling beaten by it.

Thanks

I've got the same set, it doesn't have arc the S20 a year later did though.

It has digital optical out though.

It makes no difference if you use Optical or ARC so not having ARC on the TV is not such a big problem and in some ways may be a more robust solution as ARC can be a bit hit or mis at times.

Which Soundbar do you have?

Hi I have the denon dht s514.

Do I still need a Hdmi ?

Would I connect it up with a cable digital audio out from tv to digital optical in ???

Thanks

Yes HDMI from your Sources to your TV - then an Optical from the TV to the Soundbar.

What cable do I need to get for the audio out to a digital audio in ?

Tv seems to be a different connection to the new sound bar

The TV and Soundbar have standard Optical Output/Input sockets.

Hows your DHT-S514 coming along? Mines started hissing when switched on - hoping you might have some advice on whats causing this?
