Hi guys,
I am having a few snags with my sound (again). I originally had a X-Fi card installed but this was seemingly causing my Graphics Card to overheat. Therefore I removed it and re-installed an old Creative Audigy 2.
Unfortunately I now have no sound. In Device Manager the Audigy 2 is listed as the only entry and is "working properly". However if I goto Control panel/Hardware/Sound, select the 'Speakers' and click 'Test' I get no sound whatsoever. The system plays the sound it's just none is coming out of the speaker. I have checked the wiring to the speakers and the connections on the back of the soundcard and all is fine. The speakers were working 30mins ago with the X-Fi.
If I switch on my wireless Xbox 360 headset then Headphones appears in the Control Panel/Sound option and sound does come out of this.
Anyone have any idea what is going on with the main speakers?
