    Hi all

My son and I purchased a pair of the above 4K tv’s on Saturday.

I’ve set mine up in the lounge but not happy with the motion!

I’ve messaged Stuart about some settings and he did say a video should be done soon.

I’m wondering if anyone has one and what settings they are using if poss!

My main concerns are motion, Sports are a mess! Sky HD channels are ok’ish on movies but watching Criminal Minds season 13 earlier I was being bugged by motion.

I’ve tried different settings, custom, cinema and sport and even Football mode still no joy. The previous tv was a Sony 55W829 which was excellent.

Source is SkyHD+ 1080i connected to a Pioneer SC-LX77 amp then HDMI to TV.

Animation such as Disney looks great via SkyHD+ Movie channel but not everything is in animation!

I may be able to upgrade to SkyQ but not sure if it’s even suitable for our household as we all have our own individual SkyHD+ boxes

I don’t want to return the tv!
    Thanks

I’ve done the settings, pic is better all round, not as bright as before but motion is a huge difference. It will keep me going until Stuart releases his video.
    Thanks

Thanks for this, I purchased the same TV over the weekend. Are these settings expected to improve picture quality for Virgin Media / Sky as well as movies on a USB stick?

Also, where will Stuart's video be posted?

Hi no probs, thankfully the settings has helped sport on SkyHD as well as the picture in general, the whites are not oversaturated now! Not sure what Netflix 4K or the Xbox One X looks like yet but I will look at them later! At least now I don’t feel like sending the TV back.

Did you get the free 4K player with yours?
Not sure where the video will be but I’m hoping it will be in the help section somewhere. If I find out I’ll post back here.
    Cheers

I've tried the settings and I think the screen looks a little too dim, will be interested in seeing Stuart's video.

Yes I got the free 4K player but may sell it as I watch most films from a USB stick.

Yeah I thought the same but my daughter says it’s much better but I’m more interested in a brighter picture, I’m possibly upgrading to SkyQ to help with the Sports issue.
My other problem is now my Pioneer Av receiver although it supports 4K upscaling doesn’t support HDCP2.2 for 4K HDR so I need to address out to get SkyQ in UltraHD to the TV while retaining the sound benefits as well! Damn why did I upgrade the TV lol

Another set of settings here if anybody wants to give these a go: Sony X85E (XE85) review - FlatpanelsHD

    1. I don't know, sorry. It's just some random settings that I found online. Some more above if you're interested.

    2. Probably the YouTube page I would guess. They have other TV 'best picture settings' videos up on there.
