Help needed with My Denon AVR-1706

I think I lent on my remote and pressed a button, now nothing comes on the screen while component is selected.

I thought that it was a problem with my xbox 360 but my DVD player is doing the same.

What have I done?

Is there a way of setting it back to the default settings?

Edit: Forgot to mention that I am getting sound but no picture.

I am sure you have changed your video source. First try would be the big selector button on the AVR. Turn it back and forth to see if this helps.
If not you need to switch video to auto or component in the setup.

Weird, after fiddling around with it all night I gave up.

I tried it this morning and it worked, maybe it just needed a bit of a kip.
