    Hi All,

I have a Toshiba 46" DLP. I want to hook my laptop to it to play games. The Tosh only has and HDMI port. So, I bought an HDMI to DVI cable. My laptop only has a VGA port, so I bought this: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=14-999-504&depa=0

I've turned the tv to the HDMI feed, hooked everything up, my laptop recognizes the Tosh, I change to the proper resolution and then tell Windows to "extend my desktop onto this monitor" and nothing happens!

Did I do something wrong?? Is this impossible?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!!

That will not work as your laptop is putting out an analogue signal. The converter only converts the pin configuratioin not the signal. Use a VGA to VGA lead.
