I just took delivery of my pronto from Lets automate £140 (thanks General)

Can anyone tell me how to make the backlight turn on when the screen is touched?
I have tried what the manual says but no joy.

    Cheers

Hold down the Pronto logo for about 5 second's, the page with battery leval and LCD timer's should appear, you need to press the down arrow at the bottom of the screen, you then get a page which allow's you to adjust the light sensor, just tap to adjust and set, mine is set in the middle.
Hope this help's

    Taz,
You might also want to check that the LCD Light button in the setup screen is not switched to off and that the timeout is not set too short,
mine is set at 10sec.

    Hope this helps,
kmb.

    Taz,
I have the same model. It should do that 'out of the box'. The method described by Tim is correct. Try turning the sensitivity up to max. Maybe you've got a strange touch?
How can you see anything without the backlight?

As I understand it, none of them have light sensors any more, as the chemicals used are banned in the EU.
To get the backlight to turn on when touched, set the light level all the way to the right, not left as stated in the instructions.
Have you been over to http://www.remotecentral.com ? It's invaluable.

    Martin.
