Could anybody direct me to a site that sells some sort of adjustable bracket on which you can adjust how far from the wall your (wall/ceiling) screen can be positioned. The wall on which I have to fix my screen has a clock and a mirror and some pictures hanging on it and also my plasma will be on a cabinet,so the screen must come down in front of this approx 5-6" from the wall. Unfortunately I can't ceiling mount it as there is no beam here.
Any suggestions, pointers,or solutions(diy) will be very much appreciated.
    Thanks.

I would design a bracket of some sort and get a local fabricator to knock it up. Or you could go to someone like Custom Design stands in Newcastle and ask them to build it.

screw wood to the wall, then screw screen to the wood, or just a couple of l shaped shelf brackts from b &q.

Excellent Rob thanks for that advice - this seems to be the most plausible solution so far.
