    Hi.

Finally received my 42PD3000 today after much waiting.

Can anyone give me any sort of examples on PC use.
At the moment I'm paranoid about using my PC on it in case it burns anything into the screen.

Like the start menu bar for instance.

Does anyone happily use their plasma as a pc monitor for hours at a time? What are your own experiences like?

Any info given will be gratefully received.

I am also the owner of a brand new Hitachi 42PD3000 and I am also interested in screen burn.

Could anyone with a hitachi screen tell us if screen burn has become a problem to them, and if the screen saver and screen wipe features work well.

Hi there, I called S&V who I bought it from and they reckon that multiple hours of use a day in PC mode will be fine!

They also had for screen burn the machine would have to be on 24/7 for a number of days to have any lasting effect.

    Knowing this makes me happy.

This may not help as my PD423000 was just delivered last week and I cant turn it on until the renovations are done :(

But I remember reading that it shifts the picture by a pixel or two every 10(?) minutes or so in an attempt to prevent burn in. For PC use I'm not too sure this would help however.

I do quite of lot of PCing with my plasma, used it for four hours or so yesterday. Haven't had a burn in problem with Windows XP so far.

    Cheers for the info Stoomonster.

I used the plasma with the pc for quite a while yesterday.

This morning when the plasma was on but inbetween input change I noticed I could still see the icons that were on the desktop from the night before but after a screen wipe it was fine (worried me for a sec).

As a safety precaution now I've set the start bar on auto-hide and removed the dekstop icons.
