Question Help Needed - Matching Speaker with HiFi

Hello
need some help guys - not sure what I am about to do is a good idea
Purchased visaton 13/2 30w/50w 8 ohm speakers and put 3 number in ceiling of kitchen/utility (last minute whim while fitting out kitchen!)
Got them for general radio play but also cranking up some Jimi when possible!

i have an old panasonic Sa-AK630 (rms output low channel 75w 5 ohm, high 70 W 5 ohm)(sub woofer 160W (8ohm), photo of the rear attached.
I was planning on connecting the ceiling speakers to the hifi (maybe also with the hifi speakers connected) to the high channel on the hifi unit.

will this work? or will i wreck the hifi ?
the hifi is old but i love it so would rather not break it.

greatly appreciate your help!

I wouldn't risk it.
I think your unit is designed to work with the supplied Panasonic speakers only and the High Outputs are probably for the supertweeters and the Low Outputs for the other 2 drivers.
There are probably 4 cables on each of the Panasonic Speakers. :smashin:

cheers for your reply.
As impatient as ever, I went ahead and connected the 2 wires from the ceiling speaker 1 to the high channel and speaker 2 to the low channel, the low channel output is a nice "thick" sound, the high channel is a bit thin, which is no surprise i suppose as they should be a single speaker output.
What hifi type unit would work well with these speakers or should i just put this dow to experience and remove them ?

Well, any half decent amp will drive the ceiling speakers, even a low powered budget job.

Do you intend to stream music via Bluetooth or play CD's?

Hi there

Im new to the forum, I have just bought a rotel RA-930AX stereo and wondered what speaker would best suit it??

My budget is £100 and i wouldnt mind getting a 2nd hand speaker for under £100 if its best for my stereo

Thank you!
