I just purchased one of these players, and it's great. But when i first got it out of the box and plugged it in the front display showed "no disc" and there was no output to the tv. !!

So i unplugged it for 30 seconds and now it seems fine, except the display now always shows "eject", and there is an eject icon top left of the tv screen.

Even though there is no disc in the dvd player ?

If i put a disc in, then turn it off (standby), then on again the disc starts to load up fine.

It all works ok, iv'e tried all formats, i just don't understand why when it's turned on from standby it shows "eject", i thought it would show "no disc"

Can any of you dvp5100 owners comfirm what it should be doing please, and put my mind at rest.

    Thanks Colin....
