I have a Sony VPL HS20 Home cinema and I want to be able to connect it so that I can get my TV and video through the system as well. My amplifier is an ARCAM ALPHA AV50. The cable that came with the projector has your Yellow S-Video, Green, Blue, Red and a 5 pin connector. The shop has said that this cable will be able to connect everything.

From memory the AV50 supports only composite video (probably the single yellow phono socket on your PJ). Good quality sources like a DVD player or set top box should therefore be connected direct to the PJ via s-video or component for best quality video.

Thanks for your reply john. At the moment I have the Yellow S-Video running directly into the DVD, therefore I can only watch DVD. So you are saying that I can connect directly into the ARCAM so that I can get TV, Video and DVD. What is the socket called on the amp
