Hey I've recently just bought a car, and as many new cars are, the stereo & speakers arn't up to scratch. I've probably got about £300 to get it from noting to something respectable. I don't even know where to start. Have been looking on www.car-hifi.co.uk, which seems to have some good stuff on, however I don't really know what I need, and don't know what is good quality and/or a good price... I know I need 4 speakers and a sub, nothing special thats gonna turn my stomach but something with a kick! Do I need an amp to power this? Or will my standard stereo be able to run it? A CD player is another must. Is all this possible on my budget? It probably can stretch abit if need be. Thanks for any advice as I am really stuck! Dom
Consider a head unit, pair of speakers for the front, a single subwoofer either 10'' or 12'' with an amp. http://www.bluespot.co.uk are competative for hu's try http://www.mcs-direct.co.uk & http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk for subs, amps and speakers, http://custom1.farnell.com/cpc for cables, connectors etc.
