    Hello all

Can someone please advise what surround amp (budget of around £500) to buy given the following requirements:

    1) 3x Component inputs (would be nice if the amp upscaled 480p to 720p/1080i as a Wii will be connected)

    2) Minimum of 2x HDMI inputs

    3) Work well in conjuction with KEF KHT1005 speakers

Would go with the Sony 1200 given the positive reviews but I believe it only has 2x Component inputs?

Thanks in advance for your help, i'm hoping there is something out there for that money?

Regarding the 1200ES only having 2 component inputs, you may want to check out the 3200ES, as that 3x component inputs (labelled: TV/SAT, DVD and Video In). Check out the demo here for more. :)

My 3200ES plays very happily with my KEF5005 set up. FWIW, the 3200ES is also more "future-proof" than the 1200ES as it supports LPCM over HDMI. Check out this thread for more: http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=417296

    Big smiles,

    Andy.
