Hi, I am purchasing a denon 2106 and cd101. I have a few questions

1) can i just used a normal phono to phono lead as the subwoofer cable or or are they special.

2) I am going to get some Van Damme cable from maplin for the speakers. They have 3 widths. 1.5mm 2.5mm and 4mm. Which one would be best to go for and does it make a difference?

3) I'm going to put bananplugs on the end of the speaker wire, are the gold plated ones from maplin good or should i be looking at something else.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer any of these questions. I realise they might be silly :)

Yep you can use the analogue phonos for subwoofer cable, your speaker cable is a subjective matter you may not hear any diff between the cables mentioned.4mm would be my choice.
I used QED siver anniversary and now use braided CAT 5.
The bananas from Maplin will be fine.
