Regardless of what's on the HCC site, I would go with a different LCD, personally. I have an LE32R41BX, which is now in for its second repair, and I have never been able to get the picture quite right.

The review on HCC has five starts listed for picture, yet two of the "bad points" are picture related.

The main issue is that you cannot disable the DNIe processing on this set, meaning that you cannot turn off the "sharpness" control. (even at zero there is noticeable "halos" around the edges of objects)

Maybe - but for every 1 complainer about the Samsung I bet there are 50 very satisfied customers.

Very happy with the Samsung package even down to the styling.

    Sharp 32GA6 £820 or Sharp 32GD7 £1230 - better than both mentioned.
    Alternatively JVC 32DS6 - £1010.
Have a gander for both on pricerunner.co.uk and uk.shopping.com

Had the GD1 for review for a few weeks, a while back - excellent TV. Loved it to bits.
Similarly, saw the JVCs previous version C50 or whatever it was called at the start of this year - very impressive with terrestrial signal in a store, and you know what they're like with splitters and boosters.
If I was impressed with that, how much better if it had a dedicated signal of its own?

I think the Hitachi always gets marked down because it doesn't have a digital tuner. Not an issue for me personally, as I know I will always use Sky.

I do not even have an aerial in our lounge.
