I have just received my epson TW200 and I would like to connect it with the following:

The TW200 came with a component to scart cable.

    - Sony dav S888: component out, s video, video out (yellow)

    - Canal + satellite box: scart + audio out (left / right)

    What cables do I need?

I'm trying to project onto a 67" * 35" widescreen. What would be the shortest distance for the pj?

Oh very nice, make sure to give us a view of the projector!

You might need to confirm the connections on the tw200 since various online places have said different things. Assuming it has component, you would want to connect the dvd player with component to component cable, this should give the best quality.

As for the sat box..... im not sure. Having used the tw200 component already, you are stuck with composite video i think (unless you can send something else down the scart). So you would need a single ended video cable to single end video.

check on that later point though......

I try again to attach a picture of the back of the TW200.
Sorry, it's bad quality but I took it with my mobile phone.

I don't know much about av connections.

is the svid just to the left of the audio on the sony?

the epsom looks bigger than i had thought.... component, composite, svideo, i presume the thing on the left is the rs232 or something similar, the blue D connector the vga and what the bottom right connect is im not sure...... it also has an ethernet link, so what is that for?

assuming that there is indeed svideo on the sony, then use that as your connection....

Canal + only has scart (+ serial and parralel ports ??)

So I would have to get a scart to s video cable for canal +?

Svid is on the right of the sony s888 looking from the back.

    Regarding the TW200:

    - On the left is something called D4 (?)
    - In the middle is "input B" (looks like a female serial port)
    - On the right is RS232.

There is also video, s video, "trigger out"

You are right, the espon is very big!

i meant on your lower separate, to the left of the audio there looks like an svideo..... but of course you have it in front of you so im clearly wrong! I'll just have to pass on this one for someone who knows the unit and what exactly you can send via scart.

The D4 is a japanese thing i think, i could be talking nonsense, but i remember talk of it wrt ae500 and it seemed some regions got the D4 and some got other things.

Are you sure the blue input (input B) isnt simply an analogue vga? I would be surprised if there wasnt some sort of standard pc connection on the machine.

I thought, having looked at some pics, that it was a compact machine! Though I must admit i like a bit of substance, makes you feel like your money is well spent in a silly kind of way! Have you had a chance to use it yet? What do you think?
