I've spent a few hours at this today and I'm a little stuck as to what would be a decent build. I started out looking at the alienware x51 and after a few of you suggest I could build my own cheaper I had a look about and found a few good deals.

I basically want to be able to run Crysis 3 and have something I could get a couple of years out of, I tend to use 1080p screen so don't need silly resolutions. I've been looking at itx setup as is for a living room and wanted to spend about 600ish At the most.

    Looking forward to your recommendations

I'll spec something up later on but it'll basically be along the lines of this pre-built: CCL Elite Eyas Mini Gaming PC - - CCL Computers

Dropping the SSD and/or tweaking it slightly will make it fit into your budget. For the form factor it's impressive performance!

Not when it's overpriced. Compare the Scan rig to the CCL one. Slightly faster CPU and nicer case but with a slower graphics card and no SSD.

The 660ti is the better card but do yourself a favour, buy an AMD 7870 tahiti LE and save £50. Ive just traded my 660ti for this card and its getting better benchmark scores albeit after some overclocking.

After quite a bit of umming and ahhing, I ended up with the X51.. Might seem a bit daft but Ive got it for just over £650 which considering what you get aint half bad. When I specced up all the parts in the x51, doing it myself wasnt making that much of a saving and Ive still got the option there for a better CPU and GPU.

That'll also go down a bit as I got it through quidco who were doing 11% cashback.

Appreciate all the help though guys.

I got the x51 it's a good machine. The only problem I can see is if feel the need to update anything with the small case and the 330w power. I am happy with mine and think you will be too.

Stupid bloody Dell, after 2 days of the worst customer services ever, my orders ended up being cancelled.. not impressed.

Anyhew, I priced this up on ebuyer, Ive got a spare 1tb hd and os so doesnt seem to bad.

Hopefully the 7870 will be a good choice (seems decent enough)
