    Sony KV32FX68 TV
    Panasonic DMR-E85H
    Thomson VTH6320U
Pace (UK) NTL box (RFin RFout Scart(tv) Scart (vcr)

My problem is - i wanna be able to record from terrestrial channels onto my VCR and DVD/HDD and also the same from my NTL.

Whats the best way to hook this up as i find it rather confusing?

    Connect up as follows:

PACE TV Out > Panasonic AV2
Panasonic AV1 > TV RGB Input (probably EXT1)
PACE VCR Out > VCR In
    VCR Output > TV EXT2

Obviously if you Sony has Component Input the hook the Component Output of the Panasonic E85 to that as opposed to the AV1>TV connection.

You'll need to check your TV manual as to which Scart offers RGB input - however it is normally AV1/EXT1.

I don't have NTL so can't tell you how to setup your box (perhaps someone else can help with that) but you'll need to ensure that your box is set to RGB output (should be in the setup option). Likewise goto Functions/Setup on your Panasonic E85 and ensure AV1 and AV2 are both set to 'RGB'. Likewise for the TV (if required).

You might find the VCR outputs through the Pace box and E85 to be viewed on your EXT1 connection on your TV (if your E85 is on during this you'll just get a black screen as the VCR won't be outputting a RGB picture).

No - RF gives an awful picture quality - just use Scart connections. If you do want to use the internal tuner of the E85 and VCR then you can just run a simple loop:

RF SOURCE > RF in (VCR) RF out > RF in (E85) RF out >TV RF in

But quality wise it just isn't worth it IMHO. But it all depends how much terrestial TV you record...
