I own a Samsung T240HD TV/monitor for a few years. For some reason, the volume down button isn't functioning properly (sometimes the volume goes down by itself).
I'm guessing that the key controller board has some sort of problem. Unfortunately it isn't easy to find a replacement for it locally or on the Internet (with reasonable shipping rates).
I wonder if the TV works if I simply disconnect the controller board and just use the remote for changing volume, channel and source. Although I already disassembled the TV, I didn't try it with the board disconnected (I'm afraid that it can do any damage to the TV).
Any experience with a matter such as this?
