Hi,

I just bought a new HDMI capture card for my HTPC, the Blackmagic Intensity Pro. I've been playing about with it for days! :(

So far the closest I have got to getting it to work, was having the video from my xbox 360 on the screen. I had it set to 720p 60Hz. I had NO SOUND tho!

Now the really annoying bit, ever since I installed this card, the system keeps totally crashing out on me. I'd just be looking in control panel or something, and TOTAL SYSTEM FAILURE!

Reset the system, does it AGAIN!

Now, I'm thinkin there might be some kind of issue with this motherboard that i'm using, yet I have had the card working once!

Here are the specs of my system:

  • Asus M3N78-VM Motherboard
  • AMD Phenom II 920 Quad core @ 2.8GHz
  • 4GB Corsair 1066 RAM
  • 2x 1TB Samsung Spinpoint Ecogreen drives.
  • 1x LG Blu-ray HD DVD ROM drive (forgot the model)
  • 1x Compro T220 DVB-T card
  • An iMON display (USB)
  • 400W North Q silent Fanless PSU.

Think thats everything.

Can anyone give me any ideas :( or reasons why the system keeps crashing out  It's not like it's under powered LOL!

I tried this on BOTH Vista Ultimate 64bit (nothing worked at all), and the 32bit (managed to get HDMI video only).

I paid a lot of money for this card :( I would really like to use it :(

Thanks, Dan.
