Need to choose a projector.

My requirements.

I will be projecting on a plain white wall painted with dulux light and space absolute white paint, the projector will be approximately 15ft away from the wall projecting a 130” screen and will be mainly used for movies.

Which one should I go for now for optoma i've read about the rainbow effect which is a little off putting, i also would like one where the lamp replacement doesn't cost ££££.

Choice is below and i would like to purchase from richer sounds as they offer a 6 year warranty.

Optoma HD145X
Optoma HD28e
Optoma HD29He
Benq TH585
EPSON EH-TW740

Your expert advice appreciated.

thanks.

I have an Optoma HD143X which was available from Richer Sounds last year - it looks to be very similar with the newer model being a bit brighter, which never hurts. It is a sound projector - perhaps a little noisy but at this price point you won't find much quieter.

I experienced the rainbow effect with my first DLP projector, and it annoyed me initially. A few months in and I barely noticed it - I now have to look specifically for it. It didn't turn out to be a problem for me - your mileage may vary of course.

+1 for Richer Sounds and their 6 year extended warranty included in the price. The bulb may well go, and if it does don't replace it with a cheapo one from Ebay or Amazon - false economy. You should get a few years out of the original bulb.

I can't comment on the other projectors much beyond comparing the specs, which I am sure you already did. I would say not to overthink it but get on with buying it and enjoying it sooner.
