Yup, it died. Well I killed it anyway. Then it got pitched in the trash before I could get the model number and part number off it. Can anybody give me the model number and/or part number for the remote for the AVR 1601? And maybe recommend a place to order one online? (Im in the US) Also, does anybody know where I can download a manual for it as well? Denon doesn't have it on their site.

    Thanks.

I think you'll find the remote is an RC-920, but as far as i know denon use the same remote codes, so a later remote should control it. As for the manual can you accept 5MB mail attachements? If so PM me your e-mail and i can send it out to you. Or the option is to contact denon and see if they can attach it to an e-mail for you. (obviously if its to big they can't)

    Thanks for the help.

Yea, its a 1601, and I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet (always wondered where that came from) and spend the $40-$50 (US) to buy a replacement remote for it. They really get you on those things. I'm in the wrong buisness.

Thanks for the pdf. I figured the 1601 and 1602 were pretty much the same and I could use the newer manual. I found out the remote is the RC-875. It doens't seem to matter price wise cause the remotes for the 1600-1602 are the same price to replace. Good thing I didn't need the one for the 1603 thought. Its about $80 US!

Well I'm off to open a remote replacement buisness and make my fortune!

    Thanks for your help.
