Ok, i'm getting myself very confused.

I want a mATX motherboard that will take a core2due intel cpu and has an optical S/PDIF out to feed into my amp.

That's it, nothing more than that, I can't seem to find one on ebuyer though (only using ebuyer as all my other bits are being ordered on there). It seems the actual physical connections on the board aren't deemed important information in the specification, which I find very strange, surely it's one of the most important things? Especially when talking about audio out.

Can anybody point me to the motherboard I need to buy on ebuyer?

    Thanks

I hate that about Ebuyer too.

You can however as a bit more work look on Overclockers which have a menu option just to have mATX S775 motherboards listed.

    Overclockers mATX S775 List

Then if you see any with a S/PDIF Out buy this same model on ebuyer.

For example there is on Overclockers a Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H board which seems to fit your requiments. Can't seem to immediately find it on ebuyer though. But there should be others in the list on ebuyer.

Thanks, that helps a bit, but like ebuyer, no mention of s/pdif out on any of the ones I looked at.

Yeah, you will have to look on the manufacturers webpage for each of the motherboards specifications on the list.

That is how I found the particular Gigabyte I suggested.

I started doing that but quickly lost the will to live ;)

However, Komplett list the full details including physical connections, so i'm currently going through that list :)
