I have been given the taaks of choosing a new TV out for my mum...
I have just bean reading this forum trying to decide what to recommend. Im not really into TVs but rather Projectors and Plasmas.

    Requirements:
    Price range - under £1000.
    32 inch flat screen

I read a bit about the TX-32PM1 [50Hz version] and that seem to be ok. However today we went into local currys to have a look... And i realy liked the look of the PD30! It looks excellent and on paper it looks good too...that is until i read the thread about the problems everyone is having!

Would it be better to recommend PM1? Its a cheaper option [better in that respect] rather than sheel out more for a nice looking tv that might not live up to expectations?

Are there any other TVs one could recommend? I think cheaper would be better but I want something that will last and be quite reasonable quality.
