Hello all

I'm new to the UK, I'm here for just a month. I mean: I've been here for just a month, I plan to stay for a good couple of years at least.
I'm trying to find the best service with internet and tv (phone is not mandatory, but if price is the same i can have it.)
I would be happy with at least 15mb/s. It would be for streaming videos online gaming and browsing.
for the tv I would like that 7 day catch up thing.

The postal code is W6 0YD (i don't remember the number of the door but it is in the building Park Mansions)

Can you advise me on what direction should i go?

Cheers

I'm wondering how you would get a service for just one month. All the ISP services that I know would expect a contract for at least a year.

I see. It was my mistake... what i'm trying to say is that i just got to London one month ago. So i don't know the best services to choose from.
I plan to stay here for few good years at least! :)

The only cable service we have in the UK is Virgin Media. You would be looking at the sort of speed you mention. As an alternative I'm not sure how reliable any BT based services in London could be in matching that sort of speed. Virgin Medias cable service is not available everywhere. Simple 7 day catch-up is available free from any freeviewbox/tv/computer from BBCiplayer,4OD,ITV and Channel 5. You won't have access to everything though.

Any fibre service will match Virgin cable .. you can now get 40/10mbits or 80/20 from BT, Not quite up to 120/?? of virgin but far cheaper. If you just want trouble free go with BT as they provide all the lines for everyone anyway. They are not the cheapest or the best but in reality you can choose BT,Virgin,Sky or TalkTalk with various sub-brands pretending to be different. Get a one month rolling contract so that you have flexibility to close it when YOU want.
Demand 40/5mbits for £24pm inc line rental!

Vivaciti do 1-month contracts (I'm on one).
