I've just unpacked my new plasma display (samsung PS3 w/ built in tuner).
The problem I noticed is that there seems to be a slight time delay between the sound & picture.
Meaning I hear the speaking from a person just before the lips move. Not very funny to watch a long film....

When contacting the dealer he didn't think this could be possible and wasn't keen on helping me. Very nice person!

Well, have any heard about this issue before/suggestions?

    Please advise.

Unfortunately this is a known issue with Plasma display’s as it's to do with the time it takes to process and display the image being longer than the time taken for the audio to be output.

You only really have two was to sort this out. Firstly, if your amplifier has an audio delay feature – such as that found on the Denon 3803 and others. Or secondly, via an external audio delay unit.

    Sorry it’s not better news.

    Cheers, Lee

    Hi,

Sometimes this lag is source related, if it is happening all the time with DVD or Sky News etc it could be that you are sensitive to this, and it has been brought to light because suddenly you are watching a much bigger picture.

I don't apply any delay to my video and rarely see a lag problem.

The Denon is the cure though... good reason to upgrade
