help identifying socket type please

Can anyone tell me the socket on the left please? (next to a standard coaxial I assume). Thank you.

I wouldnt be suprised if it's an aerial coax socket, just a stupid way of making one.

The one on the left is a female while the one on the right is a male.

Looks as though the centre bit of a cheap coax plug came out and got stuck.

They are both standard coax, one is male, one is female. Why? In mainland Europe one will be for TV and the other for FM.
