    Hi,

Can anyone help identify this connector type?

Moved into a new house recently and the previous owner has left some internal cabling, I've traced this back and it runs into the section behind where he had mounted his TV.

I think these were connected onto his surround sound system but I'm having trouble finding out what speakers they would connect to.

Rather than rip out the cabling and replace with my own, I was probably going to leave it in place and buy speakers to fit (depending on price etc)

    Any help appreciated!

    Cheers

    Rob

This is the only photo I've got with me but I'll take some clearer ones later and upload.

I should just cut the plugs off and you will have some 4 core speaker cable. To increase the cross section, I would double up the pairs so you just have 2 conductors. This should be fine for a modest surround speaker.
