Have you tried window and glass cleaner, or Isopropanl Alcohol from the chemist?

Try Autoglym Fast Glass (what you use on car windows) as it's non-abrasive, and wipe it off with something like a spectacle cloth or a regular 100% cotton cloth - don't use anything abrasive.

Yes what about some feedback. I would like to know if anything worked or ruined the disc.

The funding for my cinema habit comes from making cleaning products...... i wouldnt advise anything beyond Isopropanol, the window cleaner is a good alternative since it is often composed mostly of this but be careful because it will often contain ammonia which could cause problems..... and for god sakes dont try nail varnish remover unless you are sure whats in it!

If you live near a Lidl store (most people do :D ) they do an absolutely brilliant cleaning cloth. It is light green in colour and it cleans and polishes dvd's and cd's perfectly without any trace of scratching. It comes in a flatpacked cardboard wallet and costs about a pound.

    I highly recommend this.

No just gave her a telling off..

STAY AWAY FROM MY PRIDE AND JOY!

    She replied ' I thought i was'

I said: ' You thought wrong then' :D

I have over 350 Dvd's and all she does is put her fingers and prints all over them, and put's the last film i watched into the case of the one she's watching now.

Took me a good hour to find Leon the other day, was in a bloody Disney film

Glad to help and that it worked Herbal. :smashin: ;)

Back to the Isopropanl Alcohol I was once recommended it by a recorded dealer, as it a very mild alcohol and have used it for removing dust on records. It is sold as tape head cleaner as, yes, 'Tape Head Cleaner' in very small amounts and cost about £2. But if you ask for Isopropanl Alcohol at a chemist you will get a great big bottle for a few pounds (round about £3???).

I have used both Isopropanl Alcohol and window cleaner on CD’s I have had from the library that have been mistreated and have been miss tracking with no problems.
One day I saw the staff repairing some CD’s using Duraglit and a watered down Isopropanl Alcohol solution on CD’s that were badly scratched with success so I take it should work on DVD’s, well the Isopropanl Alcohol at least.
