Which is considered the better model? and why?

Also is the NX alot newer than the HX? iv just put an order in for the HX but now been reading the NX is newer

I went for the HX for the 200hz over the 100hz??


Please let me know any opinions

From what I've seen the picture quality on both sets is fantastic. Personally I prefer the nx713 simply for the beautiful monolithic design, whereas the hx803 has a bezel surround.

I've just bought the 46nx713, just tried it the 3d at a local independent , and it was very impressive, the HX series just doesn't look as sexy to me, and a friend who has a 200hz Samsung has said he has that feature turned off most of the time as sometimes it makes the picture go abit jagged. I'm coming from 40w4000, and i thought the 46nx713 ticks all the boxes.

the design on the NX is definitely superior but im mainly looking at the best picture quality and smoothness

Yes but the nx713 comes with a free 3d blu-ray accessory pack.

what did you think picture comparison wise though?

The picture was at least as good in SD,in blue ray i thought superior, but when in 3d, it just blew me away, my 40w4000 was only a 50hz, and i never had an issue with the pic quality. Its only that i'm looking for something larger , otherwise i wouldn't be moving on.

I would remember as well, that seating distance plays apart in pic quality, i sit 10ish feet away , so pics may possibly looking stunning to me, but if i'm sat 6ft i'm likely to notice imperfections.

i went for the 803, purely as i think it had a better picture in my opinion

the 803 is in their ''Cinematic'' line, whereas the 713 is the ''network' line. Seeing as i alrady have an ethernet port behind the tv the network wireless is unneeded for me

i dont know whther its the way its set up in the shop but i will admit the nx713 is a much sexier tv looks awesome, but i just dont need the networking side as i have ethernet behind the tv anyway

Not sure if its the 200hz that makes the difference on the 803 but the picture just looked that little bit better, hard to describe but id say slightly more defined

You'd need to see both to decide and both have their benefits but to me (just wanting the better picture) imho the 803 looks better
