I've ordered a HTM MX-700 from a USA site and meanwhile have been playing about with the set up software programme on mky laptop.
Whilst it all seems fairly straight forward I just have one query - when the remote is on the main page ie. showing all the devices on the LCD screen but no device has actually been selected what are all the hard buttons on the remote meant to control and how are these used ?
    Any advice would be appreciated

Biamp. When you are on the MX700 main page with no device selected the buttons dont do anything unless you program them.

You can do this by shortcuts to buttons on device pages, or by learning codes.

For example we probably watch Sky+ more than DVD (70% vs 30%). So I have programmed a few of the buttons on the main page. Volume on the amp, channel select for SkY+.

Basically you can program them how you want.

I have had my MX 700 for about 3 months and I have got it to do just about everything apart from detecting when an annoying Sky red dot or logo has appeared.

i too have order one from bluedo.

been playing with mx-editor and it's fantastic.

did't get how to make a macro that turns on and off all devices, but it's really great, specilly now that we can use ccf files...

can't wait for it to arrive.

    Rog -Thanks for the info.
I bought my MX-700 off a retailer on the US Ebay site - Videoman.
Paid $158 ( inc P&P but sent to my son who's currently working in the USA ). With the current exchange rate being so favourable, works out at less than £90:laugh

    Cheers
