HELP FOR DVD and AMP SETUP IN A LIMO

My mate has just bought a limo for his taxi business.

There is a DVD player in the vehicle (Centurion I think), never heard of them. The DVD was going straight to an NTSC TV it's not that good at all.

The DVD player is of the 12 volt variety specifically designed for such instances but there is no sound provision at the moment. The DVD player has both analogue and digital outputs

The easiest way to set up the sound is to put the left and right phono cables from the dvd player into the CD player. At least this way he gets stereo and of a certain volume but alas no pro logic or dolby digital.

Are there any PL or DD amplifiers out there designed for this very task ?

Yep. Contact a local ICE dealer and see what they have. Clarion, Alpine & Pioneer (among others) all do DD for in-car these days. Not too cheap tho:(

have you thought about inverters and using normal 240v kit, maplins had a few instock for £20, they were only 150w rated , but they do have quite a few in their range and some that can go upto 2KW power output, might be cheaper than the ICE stuff.. especially if you have some existing kit to use
