    Hi,
Will try and keep this short...
Not sure which route to take for AV set-up..
Looking for amp/receiver to run my tv/dvd/sky box through
Currently have CRT TV, normal dvd and normal sky.
Will be updating tv to HD lcd and dvd to blu-ray (eventually!!)

I`m looking at a couple of options..

    1. AV receiver , blu ray dvd, lcd tv, 5.1 speakers
Have seen some apparant bargains in Richer Sounds - Sony STRDG820 for £220

    2. LCD TV, blu ray dvd, traditional AMP with coax/optical inputs and a couple of decent floor standing speakers

Music and films of equal importance, maybe more so music.
Not a hug fan of having speaker wires running all around my front room.

Would i still get decent movie sounds from normal amp and floor standers

Confused and not sure which way to go.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Mikeozz

Hi Mikeozz - I would say go to your local hi-fi shop and arrange a demo of cinema surround sound and see if it floats your boat or not. If it does and you want good stereo music too, try the Marantz series of av amps.
There will be other opinions here, so allways listen and watch for yourself
    Good luck Shugg
