help for a new home cimema begineer

    With help from this site i,ve decided to buy the yamaha a5 for 199.99.<br />im not sure on speakers or dvd to buy i have £350 left in budget. what decent connectors do i need to buy so i can get started.Or do they come with connectors

    You will need a video connection, preferrably via Scart (using RGB), else S-Video. However make sure that the TV has compatible inputs / supports RGB.<br />For audio you only need a digital connection between DVD player and amp, either coaxial (but don't spend a fortune here) or optical.<br />For the speakers you need of course speaker cable, something from a Handy-Mart could do, e.g. a few meters of 2.5mm(2) or 4mm(2).

    Speakers: I suggest to check out Tannoy Mx series, any combination which suits your taste and budget. (Rekon Mx3 + Mx1 + MxC)<br />They should fit nicely into the budget you specified, but add a subwoofer next Christmas ... <img src="wink.gif" border="0">
