tl;dr -- I want an ITX board that can run Breakaway Audio Enhancer and sit between all of my home theater gear and my television.

I'm not looking for an HTPC (have one already and I'm happy with it), btw. I'm looking for a mini or micro ITX motherboard that has both HDMI input *and* HDMI output and can run Windows XP / Windows 7. The *only* thing I want this board to do is run Breakaway Audio Enhancer to bring up the vocals on movies and broadcast television and push all of the other stuff (music, special effects, everything else) WAY, WAY DOWN into the background.

For reference, I'm including a bunch of stuff I've already tried that hasn't worked. At all.

My television and audio amplifier. Right now I'm taking the RCA's out of the back of the set into the amp and it works like a charm.

Sony KDL-V32XBR1 32" BRAVIA XBR LCD Flat Panel HDTV
Dayton Audio DTA-100a Class-T Digital Amplifier

I bought a Zotac ZBox Nano, hoping that it would have Audio In and Audio Out (Line In/Out). No matter how I rigged it, I couldn't get it to work.

So I bought a couple of USB external sound adapters. They didn't work either.

    Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface
Vantec USB External 7.1 Channel Audio Adapter

So I've decided to try a different route -- take the HDMI output from my Oppo switchbox into an HDMI input connector on an ITX motherboard, run just the audio through Breakaway (if this is even possible!), and then feed everything back out through the HDMI output to the HDMI input on the television.

Here's the motherboard I'm looking at right now.

    ECS H61H2-TI (V1.0)

Will this do what I'm hoping it will? Are there lower-cost alternatives (like I said, all I want the board to do is process the audio)? Are there any pre-built systems available that will do what I want?

I've already dumped a ton of money down the drain on various Line In/Out solutions and gotten nowhere. I'd really like to hear from somebody that has done EXACTLY what I'm trying to do with HDMI In/Out, or whether it's even possible to do what I'm trying to do.
