Dear AVForums: Help!

While watching Mission Impossible Fallout in glorious 4K Dolby Atmos on my LG B6 through Apple TV4k, I was constantly annoyed by a halo of pulsing brightness around the edges of the screen CONSTANTLY for every dark scene of the movie. What is going on!?

I scoured the web, fiddled with all the settings (eg noise reductions, edge sharpness, chroma 4:4:4, etc) but I never managed to resolve the issue.

Tried my best to capture it;

If you are on mobile, boost your screen brightness and look at the dark area on the left; it’s pulsing like this constantly throughout all dark scenes of the movie.

Is this a known issue with Apple TV 4K? LG OLED B6?

Any help is of course much appreciated.

Dolby Vision... Atmos is sound :)
Do you use PC mode on the B6? (you mentioned chroma 4:4:4)
HDR is not good with PC mode in my experience (with C7 and C8)

Oops, right, dolby vision!

I don’t think that there is a PC mode on b6? My chroma settings are on apple tv.

I can't see it on my computer, but I have seen pulsing in dark scenes in a few movies, including SDR blu ray movies. I use to see it in the the same scenes on my previous plasma. As far as the Apple TV, it could be related to compression since 4K streaming from Apple is no where near the same bitrate as on disc.
