Help DNS error when signing into playstation online frequently

hi

Ive recently got a PS3 and to say im frustraighted with it is and understatement. Ive placed all the settings for my wireless network into the console 3 out of 5 times it doesnt sign me into playstation home due to a DNS ERROR it seems to happen mostly at night.

Now all the time this is happening the net is working fine on my mac and the xbox 360 signs in and runs games fine. I have no idea what could be causing this problem, im also getting problems with call of duty 4 where its always saying downloading game settings.

Often rebooting the modem fixes these issue but not always but really its not on to have to reset the modem everytime i wanna play when my other console has no problems at all.

Can anyone help or has anyone had similar probs.

Have a look at this post,
A lot of people myself included have changed DNS settings and it has cured the problem.

i had to use it, it used to be with sky BB but lately other ISP seen to have this problem
the DNS should sort out everthing

I use OpenDNS too, not just on my PS3, but on my computer as well, and it works a treat
