A mate of mine has a Phillips 21PT2684 and has put the child lock on and now cannot enter into the TV's menu due to not having the original remote to disable the child lock. I was wondering is there any way of resetting the TV without the remote so he can get back into the menu again.

It cannot be done without a remote.

A simple Google search of "Philips 28PW6006 Remote Control" brings up a few compatible remotes including this at around £16.00...which is a wee bit cheaper than a new TV.

Bloody hell this is one of my old post's from 6 years ago

God since then got married, had kids and lost some hair :p

As for that TV never did find a way to get that lock off.

I think that old phillips has now gone to TV heaven.
